A Letter To God

by Christina Yap   Feb 22, 2006

Dear God,

GOD up in heaven, look down on me,
Pity me, pity me, pity me, o Lord
I didn't do anything wrong
Why am I always being compared to others?
The work I do, just isn't enough.
The pain I feel, I cannot bare.
The frustration,
The anger,
And all I want to do is DIE.
For I have my regrets,
From which are mistakes.
Mistakes that I have made.
DAMMIT!! What is my purpose here?
Is it to feel the pain I feel?
To cry the tears I cry?
I don't know God.
Please tell me.
The teardrops falling on this page are so real.
Each tear for every time I tried to do right.
Each tear for every time I was put down.
Each tear for every time I wish i would die.
Why, God? Why?
Let it go away.
I can't handle it all.
It's too much.
What did I do to deserve this?
One mistake, is a mistake,
Not my whole life.
But God, it hurts.
It hurts so bad.
I just sit down and cry silently.
Just listen to the silent tears,
And tell me God, why do I cry,
The silent tears I cry?

Again, amazing portrayl of emotions. You really have a way of grabbing the reader, pulling them in and making them feel it. 5/5

Nicely done. How emotive, indeed. It's sad to note how others live without knowing the real purpose and truth for a happy living. Emotions were relatively poignant. A fine effort, nevertheless.

    Take care,

Dear the content of this piece is great. I would only suggest you to keep the poem in stanzas so that It will have a beautiful structure and the reader will be prompted to read. :) This poem is also good
