Beautiful and very haunting. this is an excellent piece of poetry.
Another of my past lives catching up to me
"Buried deep somewhere upon that hill
My former body at rest, soul living inside me"

these lines are so profound in meaning. great write!

Great write...it made me think of western world back in the day. I loved how you wrote this about a past life it made the poem very affective.
    The ending is my favorite:
I know I once died here
    Shot dead in the dust
    Living with no fear
    Buried in the earths crust

Yeah, you're right. You should be proud of that poem. Well done. If anything, I would have liked to hear the beat of the poem end with a single line: 'Another day in deadwood'
