If it is better to give than receive
why does everyone take everything away?
Why does their greed triumph?
Why does their generosity go astray.
I would give some the world
if it was mine to give.
Sometimes I wonder if someone would give me 5 cents
if it would help me live.
It seems no matter how much I give.
No one else gives anything away.
I'm not trying to sound greedy or selfish,
but isn't generosity supposed to go both ways.
But I'll settle for the few who do give.
For the people like that is why I live.
In my opinion, people like that should rule the world.
Fir it will give hope to the less fortunate boys and girls.
