Reminders for A Friend

by Cami   Feb 23, 2006

I wanted to sing a song for you,
But these words have no tune,
So I decided to write a poem for you,
To remind you to shoot for the moon

To take life as it comes,
And don't count your chickens before they hatch
To remember the feel of the butterfly,
And how hard it was to catch,

To take time to smell the roses
to take a second to relax,
To be happy to feel the sunshine,
And it's warmth on your back,

To tune out this scary world,
That is a scary place to live,
And always remember it's important
Important just to give.

Take a minute,
To go dancing in the breeze,
To enjoy being yourself
To go walking through the leaves

Never be embarassed,
To go skipping down the street,
To make as much noise as you can,
To step on someones feet.

To dance like no one is watching,
To live life while you can,
To not only reach for the stars,
But feel free to take my hand
