Why can't you...?

Not a good poem, but you should get what I'm saying

Why can’t you be a gentleman?
Writing me a beautiful poem
Sending a dozen roses
Or kissing me at the perfect moment

Why can’t you be caring?
Call me when I’m sick
Make me a romantic dinner
Giving me a diamond ring

Why can’t you be grateful?
And start to appreciate me
Show me that it’s real
The love between you and me

Why can’t you be perfect?
Try to measure up
But being yourself
Seems to be good enough

I’m still wondering
Why it is that I love you
but you're already perfect to me
no more reason for changing you
