Lonely War... ( dedicated to the book, Z for Zachariah )

Lonely War...
( dedicated to the story of Z for Zachariah )

Standing in line,
hands on their guns...
Facing their only future,
colonies of Trojans...

40 million faces,
80 million eyes,
staring at an enemy,
it's compulsory, they die...

Bombs falling constant,
in a fiery scatter...
Trojans lie in anguish,
then turn to only matter...

Nuclear war is deadly,
it only takes one bomb...
It demolishes the Earth,
and everything is gone...

A screaming sound of violence,
every standing man is down...
A forceful wave of destruction,
nothing left of the nearest town...

No survivors to be seen,
everything is empty...
All but a shallow wind,
as it flies on by, so lonely...

Forever fermented in silence,
just a frequent glow of dead...
A lone man walks the Earth,
" I'm all alone " he said...
