Words the Eyes Say

No matter how much you think you've said
there are even more words running through your head
you'd spend the whole day trying to tell
but you feel so trapped, locked up in your shell
and you end up leaving without saying a word
of what you felt; that you couldn't afford

i know because I've been through that before
I'd open a window and close a door
I'd try to speak, but the words would get caught
and i won't be able to say what i thought

you'd go home feeling empty inside
haunted by the words you couldn't say, but tried
and so you wait for another day to roll by
so you could just give it another try

you come up to the person and try to speak
you want to look strong, but you're so weak
and just when you've lost all the hope you've got
you take a look at what you've earlier not
one look is what it takes for you to tell
the words that you kept trapped in your shell

one look in the eyes and you know everyday
that this has spoken more than you could say
that's when you know that it really is true
words the eyes say are more than lips can do

they say the eyes are the key to the soul
that's why when you look into them, they've said it all
the words left unspoken in your heart
your eyes will now speak up and now will start
to tell about feelings when they do run free
love that is spoken is love you can see

and if you know exactly where to look
the eyes are really like an open book
one look and you know that you've found your way
when you listen to what the eyes have to say
and then suddenly everything seems so clear
the eyes speak WORDS in a single tear
