What I Dreamed

I lay down to sleep,
Knowing your mine to keep.
Then you're laying next to me.
You're there- I can see.

You caress my arm,
& I know I'm safe from harm.
Everything falls into place
When you're hand touched my face.

I drink it up in large amounts,
Every single motion counts.
I reach out to touch you dear
But then you disappear.

I desperately reach for you,
But I can't find you.
You just faded away.
What do I say?

My eyes are wide in panic,
My heart is beating frantic.
I call for you & my eyes fill with tears.
They fall releasing my fears.

I lay there & weep,
When I realize I'd been asleep.
It's not what it seemed,
But all of it I had dreamed.
