Together

by Mitch   Feb 23, 2006

When we first met I thought that we could never be,
but over the past few weeks our bond is stronger than an oak tree.
People drop their jaw an stop and stare where they stand,
they can't believe that you would date me or even hold my hand.

I'm happy that we are finally together,
people often say,"how did he get HER?!"
All the other guys glare and frown,
every guy gets jealous when we go through town.

Together we could sit and watch the the sunset,
I'll take pride in watching the joy that you get.
I will send a red rose everyday,
I'll do it until I have no more working pay.

Lying in the soft, lush grass at the park,
we will hang out even after it gets dark.
Looking to the beautiful stars,
I know your the one who will heal my scars.

I'll be the one that you can trust,
I wouldn't be dating you if it was lust.
To you I can tell no lies,
especially when I'm looking into your gorgeous emerald eyes.
