Another Day

It's another day;
It has already gone wrong.
The sky is so gray...
What choice do I have but to go along?

Feelings of wanting to disappear,
Struggling to hold myself upright,
Bloodshot eyes from tear after tear,
Are you crazy? I'm not all right.

I'll tell you that I'm fine if you ask,
But that's a lie, I hurt deep inside.
Don't be fooled by my mask...
Look at my mascara, it shows I've cried.

While friends are out having fun,
I sit at home alone trapped inside my mind.
They're oblivious to what I have done;
Blood drips from my wrist, the pain is blind.

Can't keep a steady hand on my life,
I'm holding instead onto a knife.
It cuts and slices deep into my veins;
As I lay here bleeding, I know now that I'm insane.

    Hey beautiful, I send hugs. From this poem it seems that you are a cutter, which is a hard place to be, so I send all the love in the world, that is the life I am running from with everything that I am. I have been a cutter and it almost took my life on several occasions. I am not stranger to it's sweet addiction and to spending sleepless nights crying hour after hour wondering if I will see the sun rise. A poem I want you to read if you have time, and if you have an interest is Sorry is Never Enough. That poem part of my story love, and I hope it will help you reconcider cutting.     Great work. I see you are new to the site and Im just glad to see a another great poet has joined and is willing to share their work. Its a great poem, I was kinda sad when it ended though I was getting so caught up into it. Keep up the great work
