Wounded Eagle

by The Wingless   Feb 25, 2006

As time assaults me,
With it's towering waves,
I try to answer,
To the fading voices,
Walking the night roads.

Honestly,
I will never forget about you,
Yet,
I stand on this wonderful road,
Of unfulfillment.

Like a wounded eagle,
I endure the wind,
With grace and elegance.

I wash away,
With the blood,
Of the wounded earth,
Let me sleep.

Stars,
Please recount,
The events of this dreadful night.

Fading voices,
Call to me,
Show me the way,
Let it be my faith.

Honestly,
I will never forget about you,
Yet,
I simply exist alone,
On this winter night.

I began to listen,
to the tower of darkness,
At even which the wind cries,
Shed light on me,
Stop me from traveling.

Honestly,
I will never forget about you,
Yet,
I stand on this wonderful road,
Of unfulfillment.

I live in the shadows,
Let them,
Be my guide.
