In The Jaws

by Dusten M.   Feb 25, 2006

In the jaws, blood and bone, just like fire and stone
One thinks he knows all, when he really knows nothing.
You listen but don't hear, fading is life,
Hunting in the night, nothing seen, but all is felt
When does it come, does he know anything now?
Try harder he thinks, maybe time will be cruel
Maybe time will forgive, do you hear, life fading?
Smoke from his finger tips, it creeps without a sound, all is felt
Could you see without eyes, could you feel without touch?
It comes in the light now, in the day, could it be?
Take a breath.. blink your eyes.
In the moment of a whisper in the passing of the night it still comes, all is felt
One so quiet, but raging inside, scared alone but not knowing
Another drowning in liquid death, also not knowing
Two for the price of one, depression setting in on what was once happiness
Take the life in silence; take the life with your jaws
Releasing one of pain and misery, or can you give them piece
Not knowing at all is the key to eternal torment, you must see before the fire and stone
Before the blood and bone is no more, no way to tell when the silence will come
So listen without ears, see without eyes and feel without touch
For one day silence will come.
