DarkHeart Ripples Part 5-Story

by The Wingless   Feb 25, 2006

Surprisingly, Denser regained consciousness and the light eaters were gone. But his leg throbbed and his brain ached. He tried to open his eyes. Move them around, see where he was, but they were glued shut. What was going on? He felt hay in his hair, and he was laying on the straw bed once more. Was that all a dream? Was there nothing different about the pond? Had none of that happened? He felt around his waist for his dagger. If the events at the bottom of the pond had infact happened his dagger would be coated in blood. He finally reached it, and snatched it up. Now, with all his might, he strained and grunted as he tried to open his eyes. He stared at his dagger in wonder. Dumbfounded, Denser painfully turned the dagger round and round in his hands, expecting every inch of steel. There was not one speck of blood, none at all. The dagger was clean, and glittering. Everything was the same. Denser stared at the sword. Ebony mana glow, curved like a snake, a hilt in the shape of a griffin. Nothing was different. As Denserâ??s hand started to burn. His hand had set on fire. Yelling out, Denser quickly dropped the dagger. Something was definitely wrong with it. Consumed in fire the dagger rose off the ground and seemed to look like it was preparing to cast. Denser couldnâ??t help but forget about all his pain and stare in awe. What was happening? It cast vieworb. Vieworb, it could show you past events, it could show you what had happened in previous years, months, days or even just hours, it was like a magical crystal ball, but of course, those arenâ??t real. But, why was his dagger casting it? Denser watched carefully. Not even him, himself could cast vieworb, it was much too mana consuming and he would be left with not a bit of mana. The vieworb flashed brightly and it showed Denser. Denser had been staring at the pond. It showed everything, that Denser had happened in what Denser was beginning to believe was just a dream. So it was real. His dream was a reality. Still puzzled about the dagger, Denser quickly grabbed it. If this dagger could help him become a better mageâ?¦.He snickered wickedly.
