DarkHeart Ripples Part 6-Story

by The Wingless   Feb 25, 2006

Only then did Denser realize, that someone had been watching him. Not knowing what was going on in Denser¢??s head, the person had shrank back in horror. All Denser could see was that it was a female, but her hooded robe was hiding her face. Worried, Denser began to prepare a spell, barrier, to protect himself from whatever the woman decided to do. Usually, the ones wearing black hoods were part of the hooded-ones, a band of outcast mages setting light to anything they see. Denser was worried. The dagger grew hot once more, and cast barrier on Denser. Denser was once again, dumbfounded. How could the dagger prepare the shape for a spell before he could? He was known for his agility! How was this possible?
¢??Don¢??t worry,¢?? Said a soft, familiar voice.
Who was that? Denser tried to think, but he had too many things on his mind.
Who?
¢??Marla,¢?? He said aloud, hoping it was her.
¢??Yes, it¢??s just me,¢??
¢??Why are you here?¢?? Denser was confused. Marla¢??s dwelling was half-way across the town, she did not usually make visits to Denser¢??s dwelling. Most of the richer habitants of Parl wouldn¢??t be seen with poor folk like Denser¢??s family. Not even if they were dead.

Why are you wearing a hood?¢?? Denser asked also.
Marla ignored both questions, and quickly thought of something to change the topic. Those were things that Denser did not need to know. After all, he didn¢??t need to know everything, and plus, Marla didn¢??t want to say it, but, it was none of his business.
¢??Your leg is injured. Badly!¢?? Marla exclaimed. ¢??Let me cast a strongheal on it.
Marla prepared the spell.
