Manhood

by Clonjey   Feb 25, 2006

It hit me quickly, like it was mad at me.
It picked me! Tricked me, it was reality.
Now when I'm on the benches of satisfaction,
I deal with consequences for my actions.
I was once voiceless,
now I must make choices?
I have to choose because life gave me a bruise?
God, send me clues so I don't lose.
Like trees, help me grow with ease.
Please, show me what a real man sees.
Ending the rendition of life as a fantasy...
This is the definition of becoming a man to me.
