Dreams

I'm haunted late at night
with dreams of you and me
I think of us in love
and how it used to be

I think of that first time
I mean when we first kissed
you took me by surprise
your surprises are really missed

And not long after that
I had a fight with my best friend
you were right there with support
you knew just how many hugs to send

But after that you split
and we were both kinda mean and fought
but soon we were back together
that was the best or so i thought

That day is what i dream about
because of all the things we did
they weren't big things at all
we just fooled around like little kids

But I'm also haunted by
that day you left me
and left me all alone without a kiss
and no good-bye was close or near

A while after that
you called to say that we are through
and so when i dream at night
I dream of us together

And sometimes I do wish
that we'd never met not ever
But then I also dream
of the great times we had

And it makes it impossible to think
that our great love was over so bad
and so I also lie here awake
and sob and cry and weep

I know that I will see you again
just as soon as I'm asleep
