Beautiful One

by Nymphadra Arid   Feb 26, 2006

Beautiful was she,
A true vision of purity,
She was kind and graceful.
The type of girl you want to be.

Then it all ended,
Like a stick when bended,
She now was not the beautiful vision.
But instead a soul lended.

She hid her face under a mask,
afraid of what people would ask.
She hid away from the world,
Terrified at what had passed.

She now was treated with disdain,
She stood outside in the rain,
A fleck upon their perfect lives.
They wouldn't care if she died under the rain.

She stood outside in cold weather looking at houses,
The only tops to keep her warm were to blouses.
her mournful cry grabbed their hearts,
but know one cared, those louses.

She crept away one stormy night,
She now was afraid of the light.
For they would come in the light,
to hurt her for they had more might.

As she ran,
she met a man.
He too had been hurt deeply.
With them both they soon lived off the land.

They kept their distance from others,
Yet they kept coming away from their mothers.
They abused them both,
But then one day who came up was two brothers.

They hurt her deeply,
And soon she was pleading.
But they paid no attention,
Soon she was bloody.

When her loved one came back,
He found her in a sack.
Left for dead she had died alone.
His heart hurt, for where she used to be she now was lacked.

He died there alone,
He went without a moan,
So glad he was to finally get back,
To the one he loved.
