I love you
is what i want to say
but every time i try
i end up walking away

i get to scared to say those words
I'm afraid that you will turn aside
and leave me there all on my own
and that is why my feelings i hide

but someday i will have a chance
to look you dead in the eye
and say i love you
as i start to cry

in relief that I've said these words
ill wait and not know what to do
looking still into your eyes
and hoping you'll say i love you too
