Yes I am scared
and I admit it
the panic
continually swells
without your guidance
your strength
your entire essence
I will be
unable to seek
your hand
in the dark
I will be
alone
once I move
without you
I will forever be
alone
and scared
in the darkness
I will hide
quiet
and afraid
I will cower
never to be
brought back
from this hell
like a lone
flower
I will wilt
slowly diminishing
to nothing
I will not call
for help
nor will I plead
this is
my death sentence
so as I
walk the last mile
my tears will
fall
and my head
will bow in
sorrow
but I will
not voice my
fear
of being left
alone
without you
