Why can't I be Me?

All I want is a friend
one that I don't need
to pretend to be someone
else for

one that likes me
for me one that won't
judge one that doesn't
care how pretty I am

one that is always there
I just want someone
to understand me
who likes to be around me

is that so much to ask
I feel left out like
no one really has ever
cared and it's not fair.
