Poor Girl

by Unbreakable   Feb 28, 2006

For as long as I can remember,
she has been known,
for keeping to herself
and being alone.
She figured "What's the point
in taking a chance?"
for only in fairy-tales
is there such romance.
Til one day she decided
to take that leap
She'd reach out to someone
and have them to keep
Only little did she know
that's not how he works.
All he has to offer
are those foolish winks & smirks.
So now she's left alone
licking her wounds
and lying in the dark
listening to sad tunes.
This young girl's heart
has never felt pain
She only hopes to have her rainbow
after the pouring rain.
"Poor little girl"
I'm sure that's you see,
but if you take a closer look
this poor little girl is me.
