A boy who couldn't escape fear
Every step he took, fear was near
Except on that last look
When he glanced into the book
To his heart the words became dear
And to his lonely thoughts, he shed a tear

No longer did he walk scared
But now confident and prepared
Amazingly courageous and full of pride
Enthusiastic with bravery inside
He was now completely aware
His shield ready, he dared to dare

Until he saw the size of the beast
And his fear once again became unleashed
He swung however with a furious blow
Leaving the beast with but a whimper to show
He placed his sword back in his sheath
For he knew this monster had already been beat
