Today I thought about you
Why can't I forget you?
I thought I would be able to
But my brain just lingers in your face
But is this another phase?
Is this a love filled with pain and sorrow?
Look deep into my eyes

Can you see my smile?
As I see you approaching closer by the mile
But days go by and nothing seems right

Instead I just close my eyes
But im just sitting here feeling blue
Trying to enjoy the view.

To hear your voice and see your eyes
Eyes that burn so bright
And a smile that brightens up the night
But this can never be
