White Fire

by Samantha Compton   Mar 1, 2006

Where is love now
Now that I need it most
Now that I sit alone and wait,
wait for it to comfort me?

Where is the fuel that keeps me going,
while the winds are cruelly blowing,
And that wisps away my worries
Like the wind does the clouds?

I long to hear it's words flow
Soft, gentle, kind as snow,
Knowing all and holding me
Strong in it's embrace.

I yearn to feel that white fire
Deep down in my desire
That will keep me going once again
And re-ignite the purpose.

For without it, I feel the light
Has left for an eternal night,
I need it back surrounding me,
And keeping me from harm.

Love is a mountain tall and strong,
It's beauty lasts forever long,
It is the fire of my soul
My single true desire.

This white flame that engulfs me
And sweeps me off into the sea,
Comforts my spirit always,
And I shall always strive to find it.
