Frozen Emotions

by HighPerfection   Mar 1, 2006

I try to eat
I can only stare at it
Hoping some courage will bring the strength to eat
But cant stop thinking how could he

All I can remember
Walking in to his room
He sounded so afraid on the phone what could be wrong
I never knew that he had fallen so low

The note said
Hillary I know you would come you always do
If your to late I'm sorry you had to see this
Please hold on for me never forget never forget

I watched his coffin lowered slowly down
My insides cry
On my face a blank stone cold look
If I show no emotion no will ever know

Ive forced myself to eat now
But I cant taste it
Its just a strangling rope going down my throat
Like a noose being tightened around my neck

I stand up walk to the kitchen no feeling
Just this never ending emptiness
I lay down to rest
Knowing all to well in an hour I have to get up
And face this pain all over again

~do you really think the comments will stop the pain~but feel free to comment and rate~

Good peice, and you're poetry does have alot of emotion, if you want to capture the reader and take them on a emotional rollarcoaster with vivid imagery, try using descriptive words, and really try and feel the poem out, you have to write about what you feel if you want it to come from the heart..
