Filled with darkness, pain
my shadow follows me everywhere
even in the brightest light
it still lingers within a crack
growing from all my sorrows, heartaches
it overwhelms me,
engulfs me in its darkness
filling my head with dark thoughts
you were there to pull me out
to be my knight in shining armor
to protect me from all this
