These High School Halls

by RadianceInReverse   Mar 1, 2006

I ponder as....
I sit here in this high school hall
the place where I grew up emotionally
where I lost and acquired new friends

I think back to my first day here
and how I was so scared
of all the new things to come
wanting to be liked and accepted
to grow up and find my way
to meet new people and for one day,
Not Cry

So many memories cross my mind
every-time I walk past a classroom
or talk to someone new
I think back to the good and bad times I experienced
all the friends and jokes we had

The teasing
The loneliness I experienced
flow through my mind
like they all happened yesterday
Oh, how time flies
how current things become memories
in the blink of an eye

How we don't seem to appreciate things
tell they are already gone
How friendships fade without a reason why
How someone we love dies
and it seems that we weren't ready to say good-bye
Yesterday seems like an eternity
and Tomorrow looks so far away

Walking through these High School Halls
Remembering everything that made me who I am today
I realize I'm not ready to let it fade into another long lost memory...

Please Comment..Thanks..Joc
