Change

by k i k i   Mar 2, 2006

Turn around the rigid clock frame,
Change the time to happiness.
Forget the worries,
Forget the fears.

Scars that run up and down,
Take centre stage.
Cover up the harm,
You wouldn't know.

Kept so hidden,
You suspected nothing.

That was the plan.

Hide my emotions,
Shed pain in my own way.
Cut.
Paste.

I tried to create another life.

Something new.
Something grand.
Something adventurous.

It didn't work.

I couldn't change the skin.
I couldn't change my emotions.

It's all part of me.
How I am,
How I react to situations.

I can't change.
And I don't intend to,
Just for you.
