Shattering of the Heart

Another tear falls to the ground
as i read what you wrote
something so simple
yet so complicated..
you told me that if
there was one doubt in my mind
that this isn't true....
i know that you are all i have
but from last night
I'm not sure
your simple words
fall into place
making me think you've changed

i mind as well
get the pain out now
so in the end it wont hurt as bad
but i don't know what
is thought through your head
so i can never know whats right

i stand here wondering
another tear falls
i fall asleep
wanting to hold you
but i know you wont be there
not anymore

i pick up my things...
move on with my life
and this breaking
further and further
in the end
shatter what is left of my heart
i don't know how much i can take

another slice
and that I'm gone
i told you i would die
if this ever ended
and though it hasn't yet
I'm sure it wont last

i love you with all
my heart has left to love
but i don't know
if thats true for you
maybe your just holding on
cause you care enough
not to let me die
but i don't understand
why there should even be
a reason to cry

so back i am
to this whirl wind depression
all because you don't care
Ive searched for you
throughout these years
and i will hold
onto all these fears

i don't know whats
going to happen next
but i hope I'm wrong
tell me you love me
forever and always
even though its wrong
