Fake World

by Sarah Davis   Mar 2, 2006

You called me insignificant,
I have some startling news for you.
I'm still here and I'm still standing,
Although I feel so fake in a mechanical world.
I'll not give in to what you want me to be.

When you cry you rust,
Fitting into the mold just like everyone else.
Don't try to change who I am,
I don't want to be programmed like a robot,
I don't want to be like you.

Beautiful is what you call this world.
I see cold, hard, fake metal with you it's core and maker.
Stop trying to kill the real me,
Don't you finally see?
You can not program me to be the way you want me to be.
