Its not just spoken or written
Its a way of life
Its expressing myself without harm to anyone else
Names dont have to be mentioned,
Actions dont have to be taken
But yet I still get my message across
Its not just about rhyming and formation
Its about expressing my feelings in a deep way
Using metaphors and similes to make people understand
How I truly feel
Its something everyone can do
Its not hard to write down how you feel
People make it some great thing that you must work hard at to achieve
I guess for some people it just comes easier
Its explaining hard times to people who otherwise would never know
Its what helps cure my pain and helps me gain back my self esteem
Its me, its my written and spoken words,
Its my passion
Its poetry.
