Dear Terrorists,
I'm sorry you felt so powerful
And that you thought it was your place
To destroy a country so unlike your own
On that cold September day.

I'm sorry you thought it was your calling
To slaughter and end so many lives.
I'm sorry you thought we wouldn't fight back
And approach the battle line.

I'm sorry you thrive on evil
And that you build up only to break down.
I'm sorry you possess an empty soul
That will not save you now.

I'm sorry you live without remorse
And that you're a destroyer of innocence.
I'm sorry you're surrounded by your followers
Who helped you start a war that you won't win.
