Jamie didn't want to go to school
Or learn her ABC's.
She wanted to stay at home
And play hide-n-seek.
But her mother wouldn't let her
And took her by the hand.
Little Jamie fought and screamed,
"I don't. . .I won't. . . I can't. . .!"
Her mother stood there, hands on hips
And asked, "Why are you so loopy?"
Just then Jamie sneezed and said,
"I can't go to school! I got the cooties!"
