The phone rings
i answer with a sad hello
but what smile your voice brings
tired eyes now twinkle and glow

"what are you doing?" you ask
"nothing." i say back
but its never the truth
all lies behind a mask

but somehow you knew
and you caught me when i fell
you gave me life when my heart felt blue
and I'm alive b/c of you

you filled a gap
that i thought was too deep
so wide you'd die with just a mighty leap
but now I'm whole again, forever complete

without you in my life
i don't know were i'd be
you hold the key to my heart
and thats were you'll always be

i love you more than words can say
even though i try every day
between us no judgments are made
and b/c of that memories never fade

we'll be together forever
through thick and thin
