Solitary Night

by LadyPearl   Mar 3, 2006

Faint yellow lights cast shadows
Upon the empty streets of night
Trees whisper a secret they know
Of wisdom and nature's insight

A dark blanket conceals the sky
Diamonds dance across in glee
Nightingales hoot a lullaby
White feathers gleam beautifully

A soft wind blows some dust away
Pieces falling to their new home
A path in which leads astray
Flying away, all alone
