We started sharing those anecdotes, that started our laughing trend.

Your happiness kept making my day, I felt as if I was flying.
I gave you a hint of my feelings, with a hope you too would exchange.
I wished you too reciprocated to me, just for a bit of change.

Days flew and passed into months, I felt you were a part of me.
As soon as I started thinking of you, it made me feel happy and glee.
I gathered courage to express my love, but your news changed my mind.
You said you got your Mr. Perfect, and that made me retract behind.
My heart cried hard as I lost you, but my smile remained unchanged.
