I live in the Shadows

Darkness...
when I close my eyes I see darkness.
Nothing I can touch or change,
a torch of light may take away the pain.

Light...
when do you know if light is true?
It may be as bright but is it the same hue?

I live in shadows
I dodge the total light
and the total dark
Fearing that if I am hit
All life will be lost
