Broken Hearts

You promised us so much in life
and you gave us none,
you told us we were special
and then you chose to run,
run away from us you did and
it wasn't only one time
you decided not to care for us
and all you did was lie
lie about the drugs,
the presents and the money
you acted like you cared for us,
and said that you were coming
coming down to see us
because you missed us so,
saying that you "loved us and would never let us go"
well, let us go u did and it has been eight years,
you never tried to call us and it has brought us to tears,
how come you weren't there when we were sad?
you left us there to rot! can you see why we're mad?
mad at you? yes, for never being there, you never took the time to show us that you cared
we were little girls how could you do that to us?
you pushed us out of your life,
all because of drugs
well we are all grown up now
and we understand that you were never a mommy you never lended a hand
a hand to help us up, when we were falling down, you never gave us hope, for you to turn around
turn around from who you were and what you wanted to be
you thought drugs were more important because they set you free
free from you worries, and free from you life
you could have been so great,
you could have been daddy's wife
but now that is behind us,
and because of your choices,
all that you hear from us comes from our voices
you could have had so much more, as to see us every year
you threw it all away and you didn't shed a tear
we really do love you, but just wanted you to know
that all this hell you put us through will never let us go
broken hearts are crying out for you to see, see that we love you, but, a mommy's what we need.
