What is Beauty

by Jolene   Mar 4, 2006

Beauty can be laughter,
Lasting through the night.
Beauty can be love that is faster,
Than the speed of light.

Beauty can be found,
Within the darkest place.
Or it can be the impatience,
At the beginning of the race.

Beauty can be breath taking,
Amazing and true,
Beauty can be taking,
Every step in front of you.

Beauty can be anything you want it to be,
It is within the eye of the beholder.
It could be something young,
Or it could be something older.

Beauty can be murder,
Love or hate,
It can be the embroidery,
On your favourite dinner plate.

Beauty is something you can see,
Day, evening or night,
But it is harder to recognise,
In the middle of a fight.

Beauty can be skinny,
Tall or fat,
It can be a snake,
A spider or even a rat.

You can represent it,
How ever you choose,
You can gamble it,
But you wont ever loose.

What beauty is,
Is what ever you want it to be,
It is whatever you feel,
It's whatever you see.

Beauty is growing,
Like a tree,
It could be wild,
Timid, daring or free.

Beauty can be braces,
On a freckled face,
Or it can be the perfect word,
In the perfect place.

It may not be something pretty,
It may not be something smart,
It doesn't matter what it is,
As long as you follow your heart.
