It's over

by pvbeth   Mar 4, 2006

You were standing by the bushes in the sun
I wanted to walk over and talk
But my heart said to turn and run.

I battled with my feeling
As I stood in the breeze
Then I saw you kneeling and
Looking at the trees.

You said something under your breath
What I didn't know was that it dealt with death

And then you took the gun and put it to your head
And you said that this was to the girl who had left you for dead

What I didn't know was that you had been beat
And the girl of your dreams looked in your eyes
And walked away seeing bitter defeat
And he knew guilt wasn't in her eyes.

You said this was it that this was the end
You would never love again

She left you there in the cold night air
She walked away without a care
And as you lie here screaming out her name
The whole world will know that she is to blame

She's left you and your here
Crying out her name
And you scream
It's over I'm finished with this life
of bitter defeat
It's over and I have no where to go
So I'll end my life that's full of despair!
Good bye, good bye
Good bye, my friend.
