Did you ever see behind my mask
did you ever see it slip or crack?
For had you of seen what lay beneath my surface
For i was once an angel of god
a messenger at will
i was once an archangel
i was tempted by a devil
a temptaion i could not resist
His lips the sweet serenity of his kiss
God smote me down
looking at me with a frown
The man i loved tried to protect me
He wanted me to be free
he wanted me to be happy
God was displeased
he ripped the feathers from my wings
and tore the clothes from my body
the shoes from my feet
he said to my dearest love
\\\\\\\"take her if you want her this creature fallen from grace\\\\\\\"
before my love could say a word
he vanished with a pop unlike id never heard
God banished me into this cave
alone i am the love i crave
my black wings once so pure and white
reflect no light
sadness is what dwells inside my cave
dancing, twirling to a tune
as i stare out at the moon
It shines with the beauty and grace i once possessed
To live out my life in this dark cave
As i dance with the darkness
i cry for the momouries of a love so bright
it was stronger than any light
1000 years ive sat here
wishing you were by my side
1000 tears ive cried knowing that you have died
i live with the pain every day
looking above i curse thee
when will i be set free
let me free upon my immortal soul i beg of thee
But until that day ill continue
to dance in my darkness
my feet shackled to the ground
i never make a sound
