Daddy's Little Girl

by Ashley Redden   Mar 4, 2006

A picture of me and daddy
Man i was just a little girl
Didn't wear dresses play with dolls
Or have little curls
Was daddy's little tag along
His little helper
In whatever it might've been
We worked on cars
And got dirty together
And i was daddy's little girl

Growing older i look back
Times we had
Times we could've
And the things we gained
And the things we lost
Watching how he clings to little kids
As if they were his own
Cause his baby's growing up
Getting older every minute it seems
But i was daddy's little girl

High school and football games
Is what the teenage life is like
Still working on cars with my old man
And still playing little kid games as we always did
Getting dirty and tagging along with him
Going out with friends
Talking to boys
Which is the old mans worst fear
But no matter how much things change
Ill always be daddy's little girl
