GoodNight

by IlliteracyKills   Mar 5, 2006

She goes to bed without saying GoodNight
Looks out her window, at the pale moon light.
Questioning her worth, and denying the truth.
Fighting for her life from the suffered abuse.
Wanting to get away, wanting to escape.
Can't break free, traped behind a closed gate.
What will she do when danger comes?
Where will she go when there's no place to run?
She's gazing outside, searching for truth.
As she leans back, a book fall's loose.
It reads "Holy Bible" on the dark red cover.
She now remembers reading a book like no other.
It talked about a strong, loving man named Christ.
She looks back on how that man changed her life.
She now feels stupid, thinking:
"I should have known! God's always with me, so I'm never alone"
Now she smiles and turns out the light.
Closing her eye's she whispers.....
GoodNight
