Guilt Trip

Guilt Trip

The cat got his tongue again,
now he swallows his pride.
Fess up to all your lies,
guilt trips are one way.

This record keeps skipping,
all I hear is the same thing.
Someone change this track,
I'm sick of hearing lies.

He's creating another monster,
full of hope and expectations.
He will destroy it with words,
so fake and so soothing.

He will never rise to stand,
weakened from his own mind.
Controlling thoughts impure,
hate breeds and grows so well.

He messed up his life again,
with regrettable mistakes.
What was he thinking then?
Just move on one more time.

It's not too late to change,
the way you have become.
There are people who will help,
they will take you back home.
