Truth Behind Their Eyes

Truth Behind Their Eyes

Suicide notes left behind,
forged by the killer.
His blood stains the walls,
splattered across the floor.

His body lay motionless,
hidden from the world.
It reeks as it slowly decays,
will it ever be found?

Stab wounds to his heart,
already broken but now dead.
Adding insult to injury,
but cheaters never win.

'X' marks the spot,
where she can be found.
His killer crying her eyes out,
her hands are still shaking.

What could convince her mind,
to something so demonic?
A cloud of darkness hovers,
full of hate, anger and betrayal.

His lies made her snap,
but now she regrets it.
What they don't know,
won't hurt them.

But she knows.

The truth hides well,
behind his green eyes.
That night she caught him,
kissing another girl.

As the shadows fall,
she waited for him.
Her mind was unclear,
her eyes full of tears.

Now his body hides,
on her basement floor.
The truth will never be known,
behind her blue eyes.

This was an interesting poem. It does show the consequences of Ismail, but to a very extreme point. Suicide..might not always be the response to cheaters. Anyways, the flow and format was great, the ending was good too. It was a strong ending.
