Daddy's little girl

by pvbeth   Mar 5, 2006

The cold hard glass was pressing hard on her forehead
as she stared out the window looking ahead

she was searching for the lights of her father's truck
searching, searching without any luck

she shifted in her chair
when she heard the sirens blare

suddenly there was red and blue lights
cutting through the night

all she remembers is her mother crying
as the police said hurry your husband is dying

she didn't know what was going on
all she knew was her daddy was gone

she didn't know for how long
all she wanted was to hear his song

"my dear sweet child
of innocence and bliss
come here and give daddy a kiss
you know i love everything about you
everything from your laugh to your cute blonde curls
just remember your daddy's little girl"

please leave me some comments and tell me what you think!♥
