Memorial day dreams

I awake on this cold breezy morn,
wearing old jeans, both tattered and torn.
just staring up at my wall at a picture of you,
looking out my window at the sky blackish blue.

the rain starts to come down, the clouds blow aside,
i sit here daydreaming, remembering thoughts inside.
just remembering memories, both good and bad,
remembering the expressions on your face, both happy and sad.

you tell me you love me, youre the only one i believe,
i want to tell you i love you too, and i will never decieve.
i promise to always stay true, and love you like i should,
i promise to be there for you, and love you like any man should.

you bring joy and happiness to this life of mine,
you take away the fear and sadness like everything is fine.
you make me happy to just be me,
you\\\'ve helped me trust myself and set my insecurities free.

love, a thing very few people understand and find,
a strange thing, but something everyone has on their mind.
but, me the only thing on my mind is you,
because i dont have to dream about love, you\\\'ve made my dreams come true.

theres only one thing in life that really matters most,
you realized i was there when i was considered a ghost.
you werent ashamed to call me your hun,
and for that you became my rising sun.

i never though i could feel the way i do,
i espically never thought id end up with someone as great as you.
you\\\'ve showed me that true love is possible no matter how impossible it may seem,
now i come back, look at you sleep, while i quiety awaken from my memorial day dream.
