I'm So Thankful

You've helped me so much
Through these past years.
Even at my lowest low
When I've shown you tears.

I can't thank you enough
For all the things you've given me
Happiness and love when I needed it
But most of all self-esteem

And when I fall to pieces
I lose all control
But then you put me back together
And make me feel whole.

Sometimes I want to let go
But you help me hold on.
You help me feel right
When everything is wrong.

I'm so happy you're here
And I thank God everyday for you.
Honestly if I lost you
I don't know what I'd do.

And I thank you so much
With every bit of my shattered heart
I feel you right next to me
Even if we are far apart

I hold some things very close to me
All the precious things I've got
You happen to be one of them
Even if to you, I'm not

You believe in me
When I give up on myself
You helped me get here today
I have you to thank for that help.

I can be myself around you
I can be the real me
You accept me for who I am
And not something I'm never going to be.

It's amazing
I can tell if I'm not OK or if my smile is fake.
You know when I'm upset
Or when I'm about to break.

I have faith
That you'll never leave me alone
You know for a fact
I hate being on my own

You would sit there forever
Just to make me smile.
Or to make me laugh
And forget I'm sad for a little while

I'm so thankful
To have you by my side
Because you've dried
All the tears I've cried

I love you see you smile
It brightens up my day
Just knowing that your happy
And everything's OK.

Sometimes I get very down
And I wish there was no tomorrow
But I keep going because if I left you
I know I'd cause you sorrow,

And I will never do that
That is something I will never do.
I would never in my life
Want to hurt you.

I'm so thankful for you.
So I hold out another day.
I keep living and keep going.
Even if at that time I'm not OK.

Again I'm so thankful for you
And one thing is forever true.
Baby I hold on each day
