I'm Happy For You

Baby, I'm happy you're with her
You deserve her

You're perfect together.

Don't doubt it,
You really are.
She loves you.
She'll carry you far.

But yet a secret part of me
Didn't stop loving you.
But don't worry
You can't hurt me more then you already do.

My worthless heart is in pieces
Scattered on the floor.
Don't worry though,
You can't hurt me anymore.

I'm so happy
You're with someone new.
But honestly I don't think anyone
Can love you more then I do.

And it doesn't seem too far
That you were in my grasp
But now i see you with her
And i know it's all in the past.

I gave you my heart.
And you gave it to my best friend.
But it's so great
To see you smiling like that again.

I see you with her.
You're a real lucky guy.
"I'm happy for you." I whisper.
But half of me says it's a lie.

I'll always be happy.
If you're happy together.
But sometimes, just sometimes,
I wish I was her.

I'm so selfish I know.
I'd be taking away all the happiness she made.
All I can hope for
Is that my worthless feelings fade.

She deserves you more then I do.
I know that for sure.
All those sappy poems I wrote for you
Aren't worth anything anymore.

As she turns to leave
"I love you." is what you say.
Then you turn to me and I whisper,
"I'm happy for you, because this time I'll be ok."

So here's the story: I really liked this boy. But then after a long time I finally stopped. and as soon I stopped. Him and my best friend go out. So i wrote this poem. At first I was crushed but now I know I'll be ok.
