Dance of Light

by Jim Shipman   Mar 6, 2006

On a cold Alaskan night.
I saw a beautiful dance of light.
To the right of Jupiter, left of Mars.
Through them, the shimmering stars.
Red, yellow, green, and blue.
There is magic in the hue.
Moving through the skies,
Carefree ribbons of silk is where their beauty lies.
Fading in and out, unknown re sons why.
Shedding all my worries,
letting out a sigh.
My soul reaching out to be free.
In my heart I bring them near me.
Listening to their quite songs of freedom,
And learning of their ever lasting wisdom.
